Some will claim that Gail Weingast’s career started when she attended Jackson College at Tufts Universityin Medford, Massachusetts. However, it wasn’t at all clear at first that she saw medicine as her calling, given that she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish at the time. Of course, soon after that she decided to attend the Boston University School of Medicine, which is where she officially became Dr. Gail Weingast in 1976.
In the four intervening decades, Dr. Gail Weingast has earned a stellar reputation and her education and experience has made her one of the best radiologists anywhere. She is currently a highly regarded radiology specialist at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut, where she has been for more than two decades. She is currently that facility’s Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging, from where she has been able to guide the Backusradiology department into its current position as one of the top such facilities in the country. Dr. Gail Weingast values every aspect of her more than four decades of knowledge and experience, as well as her educational journey. It, after all, did contributed to making her the doctor she has become.
