Like most doctors, Dr. Gail Weingast can point to a lot of education in her background, to complement her experience, which is closing in on the half-century mark. It wasn’t always apparent she would become a great radiologist at first. Consider that her academic education launched in 1969, which is when Gail Weingast attended Jackson College at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. At that time, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. Sometime later, she did attend the Boston University School of Medicine. That is where she became Gail Weingast MD in 1976.
Following medical school, Dr. Gail Weingast completed a pediatrics internship from 1976-1977 and a two-year pediatrics residency at Colorado General Hospital in Denver. She then followed that with a residency in the field of radiology from 1980 to 1983 and a fellowship in the field of ultrasound in 1983. Dr. Weingast completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist from 1983 to 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver. That’s a lot of education, but there was a lot more to come, since experience is the best education.
